Best Practice Sports Field Design
Our team has been involved in writing two best practice sporting field design guidelines for both Hunter and Sydney Water. These best practice principles are translated into the specifications we write for constructing or amending sports field to ensure the:
- Field can handle the sport usage levels, even if these are high
- Field can drain within an acceptable time frame
- Construction costs are minimises whilst not compromising playing field quality
- Water and fertiliser needed to maintain the field in an acceptable condition is minimised.
Some of our specifications have been used successfully in the construction of sporting fields that handle very high levels of wear, including sites receiving around 60 hours per week of use.
